Image with IBM Connections 4.5 available for OpenNTF Developers
Posted by

on
August 20, 2013
OpenNTF is hosting an
IBM Connections App Dev Contest
sponsored by
TIMETOACT GROUP
. Contribute your open source project between now and November 3rd and have a chance to win one of five $1000 prizes.
In order to make it easier for developers to get started with IBM Connections app dev, OpenNTF provides an
image
with Connections and Domino preinstalled and preconfigured. This image comes now with IBM Connections 4.5. If you want access to this image, please contact me (@nheidloff or @openntf).
If you're new to IBM Connections app dev, check out the
IBM Social Business Toolkit
landing page. There are a lot of
videos
available on YouTube that describe especially how to get started with the Social Business Toolkit SDK. A video mini series demonstrates
how to extend and access IBM Connections in less than 100 seconds
.
Any contributions are valid as long as they leverage in any way IBM Connections. This includes for example custom XPages applications that access Connections via the SDK or applications that can be embedded in Connections as iWidgets or in the embedded experience.
You can find a list of potential contributions on
connectionscontest.openntf.org
.
