Gearoid O Treasaigh, Ciaran O'Hallachain and Paul Magrath have open sourced the IBM Connections Toolbar for Firefox. It's the same version that is also available in the IBM Collaboration Solutions Catalog, but now available under the Apache license.

The IBM Connections toolbar for Firefox facilitates searching and using IBM Connections directly from the toolbar without the need to navigate or search the IBM Connections UI. The toolbar supports IBM Connections 3.0 to 4.0.

The following is the layout of the toolbar after you install it, but it is fully customizable so you can move the buttons to other toolbars, and hide the IBM Connections toolbar so that you save screen space.
