You've asked for it. Here it is. Access to Relational Databases from XPages

This has been one of the most requested features for XPages - access relational databases easily in XPages.
Download the lastest release of the
Extension Library
to try it. You need IBM Lotus Domino 8.5.3 version (8.5.3 code drop 5 or above) to use this new functionality.
Phil Riand and
Jim Quill
are the main developers of this new functionality that Jim and Stephan Wissel demonstrated as a prototype at Lotusphere.
Here is a video that describes the relational database support in XPages. There is also a
deck
describing it.
Update (from Phil below): The JDBC connection file is not stored as file resource as described in the video but in the WEB-INF/jdbc folder.
