At DNUG Werner Motzet and Dominic Schmiejowski from is Group demonstrated their new XPages application and talked about best practices in their session "A SME does everything with Notes XPages".



Werner talked about what he thinks the biggest problem of Domino is. You can still run 1.1 applications in 8.5.2. So even though the servers are updated the applications stay untouched, look old and don't use new functionality.

The application accesses data from many different sources like CRM, marketing, HR, ERP, supplier, etc.





Martin Meijer and Ben Welman from Saxion, university of applied science, demonstrated in their session an XPages application which they use to publish documents. This application will go live in the next weeks. As you can see in the picture they've used the XPages Extension Library.
