New Domino Quickr Sample: Media Galleries Template
Posted by
Feargal McKenna
on
March 17, 2010
The Quickr Domino Media Galleries Template Is designed to show Quickr developers how to to add media gallery functionality into a Quickr Place by dynamically building XML to pass into a media gallery.
Here is the
project
, here the
documentation
and here the
direct download link
.
There are 3 Galleries in the Template - Audio, Photos and Videos.
Each gallery takes an XML feed which is constructed from the media files saved in the published pages.
The Audio Gallery
The Audio Gallery has it's playlist populated from the Audio folder by using Domino/Notes design to create a view and a view template form so that when opened, the view and form will dynamically build the XML file. This XML data will then be fed into the player to create the playlist.
The Photo Gallery
The Photo Gallery is populated from the Photo folder by using the same Domino\Notes design technique to create a view and a view template form so that when opened, the view and form will dynamically build the XML file. This XML data will then be fed into the Gallery to create the gallery.
The Video Gallery
The Video Gallery which plays .flv files uses the same Gallery software as the Photo Gallery and is populated from the Video folder.
