Posted by
Bruce Elgort
on
December 13, 2012
The
4th OpenNTF Development Contest kicked off back in July 2012
and today I am happy to announce the winners. So without any further ado here they are:
For the “Open” the three winners are:
Intrapages
by Thomas Adrian
Forms 'n' Views
by Jesse Gallagher
Mypic

The prizes for this category are $1,000 (US) to each of the winners.
For the “IBM Connections” category the two winners are:
Notes Mail and Calendar for IBM Connections
by David Marko and Stanislav Marszalek
Generic NSF View Widget for IBM Connections
by Rene Winkelmeyer
The prizes for this category are $1,000 (US) to each of the winners.
Next week we will be posting the score cards for the top 5 entries from each contest category.
Here are some statistics from the contest that I wanted to share with you:
There were 23 contest submissions. 17 in the Open category and 6 in the IBM Connections category.
There were 26 Contributors of which 11 were first time OpenNTF Contributors.
Here’s a list of the 11 new Contributors who I personally want to thank for their participation in OpenNTF:
Stephen M Keller, Shashwat R Math, Koll S Cherizard, Stanislav Marszalek, NithyaPriya, Rajkumar, Abeish Babu, Aneesh M Nair, Olle Thalen, Doug Tait,Vasiliy Solyanik and Ryan Buening.
Also a big thank you to all of the existing OpenNTF Contributors who participated in the contest:
Jeremy G Hodge, Linoy K George, Gayathri Viswanathan, Ruud van Reede, Weihang Chen, Jesse Gallagher, Ulrich Krause, Frank van der Linden, Thomas Adrian, David Marko, Adam Foster. Martin Rolph, Graham Simmons, Rene Winkelmeyer and Patrick Kwinten.
You can see
screenshots and watch videos of all the contest entries
on XPages.info.
A huge thank you to the contest judges Mark Leusnik and the OpenNTF Board of Directors for taking the time to carefully review and score each of the entries. You can see the judging criteria on the
contest announcement page
.
I would also like to thank IBM's Niklas Heidloff for driving the success of the
fourth
development contest within the community. Ever since I started working with Niklas a few years back, he has always wanted to have a development contest like this. You have all helped to "knock this out of the park (again++++)" for not only the IBM XPages community but for Niklas personally.
As Chairman of OpenNTF I would like to thank all of the people who participated in the contest and to
hedersoft for their sponsorship
. The community is the ultimate winner here as they now have 23 new assets that can be used to develop and deliver apps..
