As part of the discussion template next generation project I've created another prototype. This prototype is not a core feature of the template but rather a global add on to Lotus Notes.

The add on allows easy publications of any Notes documents to discussion applications via one click on a new toolbar icon. So Notes users can now easily share information with their colleagues or other external people.

Technically I've implemented this add on as Eclipse plugins using the Notes Java backend APIs as well as the new Java UI APIs that come with Lotus Notes 8.5.1.

If you missed it, we've published the first version of the template and you can download it now from here. This first version comes with an improved rich client user interface which is consistent to other Notes 8 style applications.
