Just like the Lotus Awards / Teamstudio Awards but then for open source projects only. Finalists won't receive prizes, just the honor to get mentioned.

I'd really like OpenNTF to be able to host contests. Question is whether contests without prizes other than 'honor' is incentive enough?

Maybe annual awards with a few categories like best app, best contributor and so on. Community voted of course.
